I attended a meeting of the new Marine Management Organisation yesterday. I was there representing the Angling Trust. The Seaton Sluice SAC are holding an open shore competition on Sunday 4th October. Fishing is 8.30 am to 12.30 pm. Entry is £10 seniors, juniors are free, but must be accompanied. There are the usual optional sweeps. Boundaries are Tynemouth pier to Amble pier, with both piers excluded. Anglers may fish Blyth wooden pier. [...]

Unfortunately there is a ‘clash’ of dates on 18th October withtwo Open Shore Competitions.
One is the popular Newbiggin Open.
